PR Notify Timesheet Users

Updated on

Summary

The Notify Timesheet User tool allows users to generate Payroll task notifications to a filtered group of Cirrus/Springbrook users to remind them of upcoming task deadlines. The tool will generate an email and a Cirrus task, both of which will include a link to the Cirrus entity related to the task and a customizable message that can be used to provide additional task details.

Step by Step

  • Open the Notify Timesheet Users tool (PR> Utilities> Notify Timesheet Users).
  • The Filter Type drop-down field is used to select the type of filter that will be used to determine which employees receive the notification task. Employees can be sorted by Reporting Group, Department, or Supervisor (Role).
    • Once the Filter Type is specified, the Filter Value field can be used to select the specific Reporting Group, Department, or Supervisor that will be used to filter the list of employees. Enter a Filter Value or click the field search button   to select one from a list.
    • Reporting Groups are created and maintained on the Reporting Group Maintenance screen (PR> Maintenance> Reporting Group).
    • Departments are created and maintained on the Department Maintenance screen (SS> Maintenance> Department).
    • Supervisors are assigned to Roles that are created and maintained on the Role Maintenance screen (SS> Security> Role).
  • The Link To drop-down field is used to select what Cirrus entity the notification task will link to. The link will be included in the task and the email generated by the tool.
    • Initially, the Link To option will be limited to Timesheet. More Link To options will be available in future releases.
  • The Message field is used to provide a custom message pertaining to the notification task being generated.
  • Click the Submit button to generate the email and assign the task to each employee included by the filters above.
