The CivicPay Online Maintenance windows are used to set up, schedule, maintain, and track CPO maintenance windows. This functionality is similar to the current functionality found on the Maintenance Windows page accessible from the Maintenance section on the Edit Organization page.

Maintenance

  • The Maintenance window is split into two sections. The upcoming maintenance windows are displayed in the Upcoming data grid and the completed or canceled maintenance windows are displayed in the History data grid below.
    • The Start and Stop columns display the times the maintenance window was scheduled to start and stop.
    • The Authorized By column displays the user who set up the maintenance window and the reason the window was created.
    • The Status column displays the current status of the maintenance window.
    • The Actions column allows users to cancel upcoming maintenance windows.
  • Click the New Maintenance Window button to launch the New Maintenance window.
  • The New Maintenance window is used to set up new maintenance windows.
  • The Time Frame section is used to set up when the new maintenance window will be active.
    • Select a Start Date and a Start Time for the maintenance window.
    • Check the Begin Maintenance Window Immediately toggle to begin the maintenance window when the Save button is clicked at the bottom of the page.
      • Checking this toggle will disable the Start Date and Start Time fields above.
    • Enter a Duration in order to specify how long the maintenance window will last.
      • The duration period can be specified in 15-minute increments. These increments are represented by decimal values of 0.25 (15 minutes), 0.5 (30 minutes), 0.75 (45 minutes), 1 (one hour), etc.
    • Check the Allow Open Ended Time Span toggle to disable the Duration field and to keep the maintenance window active until it is closed.
  • The Audit section is used to provide a Reason for the maintenance window.
    • This reason will be displayed below your username in the Authorized By column on the main Maintenance window.
  • The Out Of Service Message is used to set up a message that will display for your users when they attempt to reach your CPO site during a maintenance window.
    • Click the Edit Message button to open the Messages window on the original CPO site. Once you have updated the message in the Out of Service section, click the Submit button to return to the New Maintenance window. You should now see the updated Out of Service Message.
  • Once your new maintenance window is set up, click the Save button to complete the scheduling process.
